Fundraising Tools

A book can be an effective fundraising tool for non-profit organizations, such as charities, schools, special interest groups, museums, zoos, and human interest causes. Not only can they be used as commodities to generate capital for specific organizations or causes, but they lend themselves to be underwritten for production costs by profitable enterprises interested in associating their name with the non-profit organization or cause.

Hibel: The Life and Art of Edna Hibel

by Shawn McAllister

“Thank you for introducing the Hibel Museum to an incredible fundraising tool! StarGroup has done a wonderful job in helping us promote the coffee table book which showcases the incredible life of Edna Hibel. Your suggestions and assistance in producing a marketing package to launch the project was very effective. Raising funds for something non-existent is not an easy task. The fact that the first printing of this book has the ability to generate over $750,000 is very exciting.”

Nancy Walls
Director
Hibel Museum of Art

The Hibel Museum of Art in Jupiter, Florida wanted to produce a biography of world renowned artist Edna Hibel concentrating on the many people whose paths she crossed and the influence and impact they had on her and her art. The challenge was to find a way to use the biography as a major fundraiser for the Edna Hibel Foundation to support the Hibel Museum of Art. The solution was to raise the necessary capital for the museum to publish the book by producing & pre-selling 20-special edition leather-bound copies accompanied by a one-of-a-kind sketch by the artist, thereby assuring all proceeds went to benefit the museum once the book was published.

Best Little Town in Florida
By Tom Mills

The history of Palm Beach Shores is a relatively short, yet colorful one. Just a few decades after Paris Singer, son of Singer Sewing machine inventor, Isaac Singer discovered and began developing what is now known as Singer Island in the 1920’s, A.O. Edwards founded the town of Palm Beach shores. But no personality was more colorful and dynamic than John D. MacArthur, the man responsible for the town’s landmark Colonnades Hotel. Long-time Shores resident and mayor of the town he loves, Tom Mills has captured the heart and soul- the very spirit- of the town and its islands in his historical look at …The Best Little Town in Florida.
