Branding Marketing & Media Tools
A well produced book can be a magical marketing and promotional tool. What better way to deliver a clear marketing message than a book that can be distributed by your referral markets? A book has a perceived value and becomes a “gift” of information, rather than an obvious promotion piece. Brochures can be misplaced or discarded. Books are forever.
One of the most effective ways to establish yourself as an authority is to author a book. Authoring a book attracts media attention, increases credibility, and can help position you as an expert in your field.

My Mother’s Italian My Father’s Jewish I’m in Therapy! Cookbook
By Steve Solomon & Jane Evers

“I would like to take a moment to tell you how delighted we all are with the wonderful job you and your associates at StarGroup International did on our cookbook. To say that the book’s been a hit is, at best, an understatement. The book has opened dozens of media doors for us: NBC, ABC, CBS, The NY Daily News, WOR Radio & TV, The Martha Stewart Show and many others; in turn, increasing ticket sales (for the Off-Broadway hit show) and good will in each city we appear.”
~Steve Solomon
Prior to opening in his play, “My Mother’s Italian My Father’s Jewish I’m in Therapy!,” at the Little Shubert Theatre in Manhattan, comedian, Steve Solomon, sought ways to focus as much attention as possible on his upcoming Off-Broadway show. This cookbook was a highly successful tool used to accomplish just that, helping to get him booked on numerous talk shows, including Martha Stewart’s Show.

Why Pay More For Life Insurance?
50% Less Premiums, 100% Better Coverage
By W. Adam Clatsoff
Everyone agrees that there’s a problem with the cost of healthcare. However, no one will admit what the real problem is. Healthcare is not an unlimited resource of little or no value that can be free to everyone. We can’t even do that with water. Healthcare is a limited resource of great value. An incredible need for healthcare does not mitigate that reality. The problem is that everyone wants the best of healthcare, they want all they can get and they want it on demand, but more importantly they want someone else to pay for it. That someone else has typically been either business or government, which means the cost eventually gets passed on to the little guy. Small business cannot and should not have to carry the burden of that responsibility. If General Motors and the Government can’t do it, how can Pete’s Lawn Service do it? Small business owners are faced with a stark reality. It’s time to get off this sinking ship.

Turning Points
Turning Points was a joint effort of Northwood University, StarGroup International, The Palm Beach Round Table, The John Templeton Foundation, and Mr. Dan Young as a public relations technique to enhance the Laws of Life Essay Contest for high school students in Palm Beach County. The book showcased the top 25 essays in the annual contest locally from 1997 until 2000. Top winners received cash prizes and scholarships to Northwood University in addition to having their essays published. When it was started in Palm Beach County in 1997, there were more than 2,000 entries from six high schools, a national record at the time for a contest that was held in various communities throughout the United States since its inception in 1987. By the year 2000 there were 22 participating high schools with more than 9,000 entries, an overwhelming success that became so popular that organizers were unable to manage the influx of submissions and were forced to discontinue the contest locally.

Beyond Time Management
By Jane Allen Petrick, PhD
Conventional “time management” has not resulted in better, more efficient, or more balanced lives. As Jane Allen Petrick explains in this engrossing and readable book, time management has failed because its techniques focus on the individual, assuming each member of a work group can set his or her own priorities independently. Beyond Time Management picks up where the others leave off and explains a coherent process of organizing not only the individual, but also the system to which the individual belongs. As Petrick explains, true organization begins when you understand your real purpose, and it ends with purposeful arrangements of people, paper, space – and time.
