StarGroup International was established in 1994 after the company’s
founder and Chief Executive Officer, Brenda Star, observed an
interesting twist when she co-authored and published a book.
Instead of having to pound on the media’s door, the media came to
her. Soon after, she created three books for a client and once again
saw how a book could open media doors.
She began to realize the power of a book’s ability to generate free
media exposure and enhance credibility. Therefore, StarGroup
International was originally formed as a public relations firm that
used book production as a marketing tool to generate publicity
for clients.
Initiating no marketing campaign of its own, StarGroup’s
client base began to grow strictly from referrals. As word
of the success of this “book formula” spread, the demand
for it increased.
Over the years, StarGroup discovered other ways to help
clients achieve the recognition they sought, but nothing
seemed to match the power of a book.
